NEXT is a global architecture and interior design firm with 15 locations and 1,000 employees across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Students were instructed to design an inspiring, innovative, thought provoking, fun, functional, flexible, and collaborative space for the new, 11,300 square foot office. With the mixture of individual and group work spaces, a diverse environment appeals to every individual and their preferences and encourages maximum productivity. Virtual touch walls and telepresence technology allow communication with workers within the firm to workers across the world. Ceiling height on the 32nd floor is 22’-0” from finished floor to underside of deck and features an open, exposed HVAC, fire suppression, electrical, and lighting systems.
